No matter where you perform the payment, your access to all the other websites in the network will be automatically activated. You don’t have to pay or log in again.
You don’t have to worry that your subscription goes to websites you don’t read. PIANO distributes the money according to the amount of time you spend on the web of each media. It rewards high quality content you really want to read – and it gives signal to the media what is and what isn’t worth investing to.

Why do we have to pay when the publishers are still getting money from advertisement?
Advertising is an excellent source of revenue to finance content which attracts a large amount of traffic. But publishers are having trouible financing more demanding content intended for people who are interested in more specific content, deep analysis and original reporting.
Media depend on both revenue streams – direct sales to readers (newsstands) and advertising revenue. On the Internet media houses hoped for years that the revenue from advertising will be enough to replace drop in print readership and allow for free access to readers online. This hope has not materialized and since media want to continuously invest in and improve content they have to go back to the original finacing model including direct reader payments.
