A South Carolina woman won’t be getting a new TV courtesy Olathe resident Richard Harding.
That’s because Harding never ordered the TV through walmart.com and quite possibly because the supposed recipient knows nothing about it, either. Harding, as well as others, was targeted by an apparent “phishing” scam.
Harding said he received an email from walmart.com on Thursday, confirming the purchase of a large-screen TV, which was to be sent to a South Carolina address.
