Email Fraud Alert received from: Pravin
I recently received an email with this subject line: Your Payment From SARS and I am concerned that it could be an attempt at defrauding me. Let me know in the comments section what you think, please.
Pravin has the following thoughts/comments on this suspected fraudulent message:
A good attempt – but NOT good enough.
The domain is almost SARS, but the grammar and spelling is atrocious. How insulting that the phisher simply assumes that SARS would allow such a message to be sent.
The full contents of the e-mail appear below:
Dear Taxpayer,
As from this date you can submit your Income Tax return to the South African Service (SARS). This year SARS wants to help you be good at tax by offering you a few Tax Season tips.
