Email Fraud Alert received from: Riaan
I recently received an email with this subject line: Verification Alert and I am concerned that it could be an attempt at defrauding me. Let me know in the comments section what you think, please.
The full contents of the suspected fraudulent (phishing / scamming) e-mail appear below:

Reason: Our database as been upgraded and your account is required to be activated on the new secure system.

The above email was sent by “noreply@capitecbank.co.za” from this email address: noreply@capitecbank.co.za
I, Riaan, have the following thoughts/comments on this suspected fraudulent email message from “noreply@capitecbank.co.za”:
they say that an indication for any company that it has entered the big leagues is when spammers and phishers pose as that company in an attempt to steal information.
This is the first one I have seen fro Capitec Bank so; “Welcome to the big leagues”
