Wake County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a third person connected to an ongoing Duke Energy fraud investigation.
On Tuesday, deputies arrested 29-year-old Shaniyah Ronisha Dove after deputies said Duke Energy representatives discovered numerous accounts were opened in the name of living and deceased customers without their knowledge, costing the company $495,904.62 in losses.

The investigation first began in July 2025, and deputies have arrested two others in the case, including Rafael Stefan Williams, 36, in October 2025 and Dazmyn Person, 39, in December 2025.
Dove now faces three counts of felony identity theft and one count of felony conspiracy.
The investigation is still ongoing.
