MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A woman has been indicted for impersonating a nurse and using multiple nurse license numbers to obtain more than 10 nursing positions, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
In September 2025, the TBI’s Medical Fraud Control Division received information from the Tennessee Health Care Facilities Commission regarding Lamonica Robinson Netter impersonating a nurse.
Investigators discovered that from 2023 to 2025, Netter had allegedly used multiple nurse license numbers to apply for and obtain employment as a nurse, finding more than 10 positions.
On May 7 2026, a Shelby County Grand Jury handed down indictments for Netter on one count of TennCare fraud, theft of property $60,000-$250,000, and two counts of impersonating a licensed professional.
Netter was arrested on May 8 and booked into Shelby County Jail on a $50,000.
