NORTH WEST – Kebafilwe Sylvia Mokgosi (32), a financial clerk, appeared before the Lehurutshe Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 21 August 2026, facing 10 counts of fraud.
Mokgosi was arrested on 21 August 2026 by members of the Mmabatho-based Serious Commercial Crime Investigation. Her arrest follows an investigation into allegations of misappropriating funds at Ramatu High School in Lehurutshe.
Reports indicate that between 2023 and 2024, the accused transferred over R244 000 from the school’s bank accounts into her personal bank account. Following an investigation by the Hawks’ Serious Commercial Crime Investigation, Mokgosi was apprehended and charged with fraud.
The accused appeared in court and was granted R1000 bail. Her matter postponed was to 28 September 2026.
