Email Fraud Alert received from: Algernon
I recently received an email with this subject line: Payment Delivery Confirmation and I am concerned that it could be an attempt at defrauding me. Let me know in the comments section what you think, please.
The full contents of the suspected fraudulent (phishing / scamming) e-mail appear below:
Dear customer,
You have an incoming payment slated for your account. This transaction
cannot be completed due to errors present in your account information.
Please login here to fix this problem immediately.
During this process, your OTP will be checked and verified.
Please allow up to 48 hours for the changes to take effect.

I, Algernon, have the following thoughts/comments on this suspected fraudulent email message from “Internet Banking Channel”:
Why do I find this unbelievable? Because ai have a similsr problem wit hStandard Bank who cannot find an incoming payment made to one of their bucket accounts, despite my providing them with proof of payment. So, I ask with tears in my eyes, how could Standard Bank then be so clever as to pick the problem up as highlighted in their supposed e-mail to me as above.
