The Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) warns the public to exercise caution when conducting financial services business with persons impersonating authorised financial services provider, Orion Broking Solutions (Pty) Ltd, FSP number 27667.
It has come to the FSCA’s attention that individuals operating under the name Orion Broking, are purporting to be associated with Orion Broking Solutions (Pty) Ltd to solicit investments from the public. Orion Broking Solutions (Pty) Ltd has confirmed that it is not associated with “Orion Broking” or the individuals associated with the impersonation.
While the FSCA does not comment on the business activities of Orion Broking, the FSCA confirms that Orion Broking is not authorised by it to provide financial services to members of the public.
To avoid unnecessary risk, the public should not accept financial advice, assistance, or investment offers from individuals or entities not authorised by the FSCA. Authorised financial services providers must clearly display their authorisation status in their documentation. If this is not present, it is advised to further investigate before making any payments.
