Email Fraud Alert received from: Lynn
I recently had dealings with Nkemchi Petroleum Artists and I am concerned that it could be an attempt at defrauding me. Let me know in the comments section what you think, please.
Lynn has the following thoughts/comments on this suspected fraudulent business:
I am concerned about a business supposedly based in Port Elizabeth, South Africa and supposedly selling petrochemical products.
My red flag concerns are as follows:
- I am resident in PE and active in the business sector and have never heard of Nkemchi Petroleum.
- Their web site looks dodgy to me.
- Their web site header image is certainly NOT of the Port Elizabeth Harbour.
- They have spelt Theescombe (the suburb they say they are situated in ) wrong.
- The street number is incorrect – the Lake Farm Road only has ERF numbers.
- The contact number goes straight to a voice message and I was not phoned back.
- The Fax Number for Nkemchi Petroleum is to a voice and the knuckle dragger who answered the phone says he is in the North West Province.
- No 041 contact numbers
- Why register a SA based company using these guys: http://www.cronon.net/

- The people who manage the Port Elizabeth Tank Farm are SHELL
- To my knowledge SA companies are either Pty Ltd or Ltd and NOT just Pty
- Content on the Nkemchi Petroleum is exactly the same as on this site: http://www.naukrinews.com/jobs.aspx?jobID=3003111624 – another dodgy sounding job advert.
Please comment and tell me if my concerns about Nkemchi Petroleum are legitimate.
