Email Fraud Alert received from: JOHN

I recently received an email with this subject line: Contact form and I am concerned that it could be an attempt at defrauding me. Let me know in the comments section what you think, please.

Copy of fraudelent invoice attached for 40 HATRO WATER PUMPS quoted . Never delivered.
Working together with NATALIE VAN WYK from Dept of ENERGY.

The above email was sent by “Dacotraders “SAM”” from this email address: mail@dacoplastraders.com

I, JOHN, have the following thoughts/comments on this suspected fraudulent email message from “Dacotraders “SAM””:

Scam e-mail receiv3ed from Dept of ENERGY requesting a quote for 40 HATRO water pumps.
Sent request to DACOPLAS Traders in Port Elizabeth.
Paid deposte of R25000.00.
Goods never delivered.
