BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A former Essex County, New York woman has been arrested for welfare fraud.
New York state police say they arrested 25-year-old Dakota Wommer on multiple charges, including grand larceny and welfare fraud, both class D felonies.
An investigation found that Wommer falsified multiple snap applications- by failing to report income, resulting in an overpayment of about $5,500.
Wommer has been released from custody and is expected in court at a later date.
