More about Reliftxs.com – Or is it Reliftcs.com?

I recently had a MyPE reader complain about almost being scammed out of money as a result of clicking on a Google Advert on MyPE.

Between the two of us we managed to narrow it down to a display ad – see screenshot number one – I immediately BLOCKED the advertiser from advertising on MyPE and initiated an internet search to see if people had complained about the advertiser that I had blocked and, I could not find any complaints. Initial inspection of the web site showed to me that the business looked legitimate, so I reverted to our reader to confirm that I had the correct advertiser. She then advised me that the actual miscreant was a completely different advertiser with a completely different web site address.

So far I have blocked what appears to be a legitimate site – http://myfundamentalskin.com/ – and the DODGE site – http://reliftxs.com/ from being able to advertise via Google Adwords on MyPE.

I then sent an e-mail outlining my and our reader’s concerns to Google Adsense – a bit like chucking a piece of black paper into a black hole at night!

I then did a bit more sniffing around and found the following disturbing information about http://reliftxs.com/:

1. There is NO proper contact information
2. The South African contact info is for an 087 number (VOIP) so the operator could be situated anywhere in the world
3. The sole e-mail address is to support@reliftcs.com and NOT to support@reliftxs.com as the normal person would expect
4. The sole link to a testimonial page does not work and it is to a similar styled site: http://www.extrememetaburn.com/
5. A Google search shows many SCAM reports
6. Looking at the cached image of http://reliftxs.com/, whilst on Google, shows a different site to what the browser sees (See screenshot number two).

My normal advice to people is to NOT use their credit card on any site that displays any ONE of the SIX concerns above – but, in this case, http://reliftxs.com/ demonstrates SIX concerns.

In addition the two different web sites: http://reliftxs.com/ and http://reliftcs.com/ show two differnet sets of numbers. Both sites spell Denmark (Denamrk) incorrectly which probably indicates that the owners do know how to Copy Paste despite having failed spelling!

As to how our reader got to http://reliftxs.com/ and NOT http://myfundamentalskin.com/ I have two theories:

1. Reliftxs is a Google Advertiser and is using the same image as Fundamental Skin OR
2. Our readers browser was re-directed as the result of a ‘virus’

So I have to live with the concerns that:

1. Others may have also been duped and now blame MyPE
2. I may have blocked a high earning advert.
