Questions are growing over how quickly Minnesota should act on fraud reforms recommended in a state roadmap released earlier this year.
Minnesota hired former Judge Tim O’Malley as the state’s director of program integrity to create a roadmap to address fraud. O’Malley’s report was released in February.

O’Malley stated at the time that the roadmap was designed for long-term solutions, but when should his recommendations be implemented?
During a press conference in February, where the roadmap was unveiled, O’Malley said creating the roadmap was phase one, and phase two would be to “kickstart” the reforms and assign another “independent” party to oversee that “very soon.”
