A Racine County jury convicted Harry Wait on three of four counts against him for election fraud on March 24, following two days of testimony.
Wait, 67, from Union Grove, admitted he requested absentee ballots in the names of Assembly Speaker Robin Vos and Racine Mayor Cory Mason without their knowledge or consent.
Wisconsin Elections Commission, testified about how the MyVote system works and how absentee ballot requests are processed through it.
Andrew Schoeneck of the Department of Justice Cybercrimes Unit testified about how he investigated the case, a process he said took about a month as he gathered facts and documented what had occurred.
Schoeneck testified that Wait never denied the facts of the case during the investigation.
After the state rested, defense attorney Bugni moved to dismiss counts 2 and 4. The motion was denied.
