The Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) warns the public to exercise caution when conducting financial services business with Fingo Investments (Pty) Ltd (Fingo Investments).
It has come to the FSCA’s attention that Fingo Investments is purporting to be an authorised financial services provider (FSP). Fingo Investments is using FSP number 44609 to promote and solicit investments from the public. The FSP number (44609) is reflected on Fingo Investments’ Facebook page. FSP number 44609 was issued to Dimpho Alice Khomari when she applied to be authorised as an FSP. Dimpho Alice Khomari’s authorisation has since been withdrawn by the Authority.
While the FSCA does not comment on the business activities of Fingo Investments, the FSCA confirms that it is not authorised by the FSCA to provide financial services to members of the public. Fingo Investments responded to the FSCA’s queries by providing a certificate bearing FSP number 44609, which it claimed had been issued by the FSCA. However, the FSCA has no record of issuing this licence and has no knowledge of its existence.
