You have these seemingly individual people who advertise on OLX, Gum Tree and Junk Mail selling an expensive electronic piece of equipment like an SLR Camera or an Apple Mac Laptop or I-Mac 27 still sealed in its box at rates to good to be true. Well they are!!
When you contact this “individual” he suddenly morphs into this dazzling on-line company with a website full of unbelievable bargain goodies! Only problem is that the website does not work. There are no order or payment facility links that actually work. So you ask them and they reply that you must place your order via e-mail. Then they send you their private bank account numbers to transfer money or pay cash.
Once paid the “courier company” will then demand that you pay import duty on the item. Once you have done that they will tell you to F-OFF
Due to the fact that it is a pvt account you paid money into your chances are zero in obtaining a refund. You have been scammed, not once but twice!!
