I recently received an email with this subject line: eBucks:) Hi, FNB rewarded you with eB10,000 and I am concerned that it could be an attempt at defrauding me. Let me know in the comments section what you think, please.
The full contents of the suspected fraudulent (phishing / scamming) e-mail appear below:

You have a pending 10,000 FNB eBucks Reward or R1000 to claim as it expires today,( This is for the month of July, for using your debit/credit cards at participating eBucks Partners ) Please click here http://www.ebucks.com/ to claim it now.
After login, please wait for an sms containing your confirmation OTP, and enter it on the next page, failure to complete will result to your account balance been pending

I, Bill, have the following thoughts/comments on this suspected fraudulent email message from “eBucks FNB”:
OMW – how incredibly dumb is this phisher? Sending an “FNB Notification” from a supposed “Standard Bank Address”.
What is scary is that it evaded all my spam filters.
