HOPKINS CO.. (WFIE) – Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman says a southern Indiana woman has pleaded guilty in a Medicaid fraud case in Hopkins County.
According to Coleman, 56-year-old Sylvia Townsend-Marlow of Corydon, Indiana, pleaded guilty to seven felony charges.
Officials say she stole nearly $71,000 from Kentucky’s Medicaid program over a two-year period through submitting fake timesheets to Kentucky’s Cabinet for Health and Family Services.
As part of the guilty plea, Sylvia has been ordered to pay it all back.
She was also sentenced to five years’ probation.
