HAMILTON, Ohio (WXIX) – A Cincinnati man appeared in Butler County court Thursday after he allegedly defrauded more than $12 million from Ohio’s Medicaid program, according to Attorney General Dave Yost.
Robert Haley, 63, faces 31 felony charges and was given a $500,000 bond after prosecutors said he made improper Medicaid payments.
Prosecutors said some of the money Haley stole was supposed to go into programs to help children, stating the claims that Haley submitted were for behavioral health services supposedly provided to children in after-school programs in Butler County.
The judge asked both the prosecution and defense for their recommendations on bond for Haley.
