BANK Windhoek clients are once again urged to ignore and delete any email communication that has supposedly been sent by the Bank. Bank Windhoek emphasizes that it will never communicate with clients through emails, nor will clients be requested to follow links attached to emails.
The latest phishing scam discovered this week is similar to one from last week, but with a different web page link. The email informs the client that the bank developed a new firewall security and if clients do not upgrade their accounts by clicking on a link in the email, their access to internet banking services will be limited. Clients must ignore and delete such emails immediately. Bank Windhoek reiterated that it cannot accept responsibility for financial losses due to the client giving information to persons pretending to work for the bank or fraudulent emails.
