RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB) – On July 1, Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill announced the arrests of 21 people in a Medicaid fraud operation tied to allegations of false billing, false public records and abuse involving vulnerable people.
Of those 21, five are listed as arrested in Rapides Parish:
Adrian Lacour Brooks
On June 11, 2026, Adrian Lacour Brooks was arrested without incident in Rapides Parish for one count of cruelty to the elderly or persons with infirmities, first offense.
According to the AG’s Office, Lacour, a former employee at Westside Habilitation Center’s Adams Group Home, an intermediate care facility for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, forcefully grabbed an elderly and intellectually disabled resident of the facility and shoved her, causing her to hit her head on a nearby wall…
