Email Fraud Alert received from: Lindsey
I recently received an email with this subject line: Your unpaid Entitlements. and I am concerned that it could be an attempt at defrauding me. Let me know in the comments section what you think, please.
The full contents of the suspected fraudulent (phishing / scamming) e-mail appear below:
Dear Sir/Madam,
We are Alpha Securities Company a financial deposit outfit with affiliates in different countries around the world. We are informing you that we have in our data base information of lodged funds in which your details are listed for payment.
This funds is been tagged as unpaid entitlements in transit as donations from charity/pending contractual payments lodged by institutions that were unable to finalize payments as at when due at time of completion. For avoidance of doubts and clarification of process,we want to match our records with details as request below from you before we proceed to process release of this funds in a swift and right manner. I.Your Full name 2.Complete Address 3.Phone 4. Amount been expected 5.Source of expected funds 6.Any supporting documents to this claim 7.Reason for delay in your funds not been released.
Do note that only information that match with that listed on our database would prompt us to act in processing payment.
We would investigate claims,clarify and then advise release of your entitlement.
