The OIG worked with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission to expand access to the OIG’s fraud, waste and abuse reporting tool by making links readily available on the YourTexasBenefits.com website and mobile app.
The new reporting links were added after stakeholder engagement identified Your Texas Benefits as a direct channel to beneficiaries who may have firsthand insight into suspected or attempted misuse.
Whether solicited by a Medicaid provider or asked to sell electronic benefits transfer card funds to retailers, clients can now report the interaction through links on the same app they use to manage benefit accounts and connect with program support.
Avoid using public Wi-Fi networks for banking or shopping, as these unencrypted “hotspots” allow criminals to intercept your traffic through “Man-in-the-Middle” attacks.
