Email Fraud Alert received from: Alan
I recently received an email from a: Web Site Form and I am concerned that it could be an attempt at defrauding me. Let me know in the comments section what you think, please.

I am Mr. Honoré Akpomey, A personal Attorney to Late Mr. Frank Abrasives, a national of your country, Managing Director in the Hydrocarbures Produits Pétroliers Exploitation & Distribution at (SHELL HYDROCARBURES OIL COTONOU S.A.R.L.), and he died on 26 March 2007, in car accident with his family.
Since then, I have made several inquiries to your Embassy to locate any member from the Relatives but all in vain. After these several unsuccessful attempts, I decide to contact you directly to assist in Repatriating the money and property left behind by my client before they bank get confiscated or declared unserviceable and the huge amount deposited an account valued ($14.8M) Fourteen Million Eight Hundred Thousand US Dollars, were lodged in the Security Financial Institution Bank ” (BANQUE BOAD DU BENIN)”. The Bank has issued me a notice to provide the next of kin or have the account confiscated. Since I have been unsuccessful for over (8) eight years now, I seek your consent to stand as the next of kin to the Deceased, so that the Bank will proceed this fund $14.8 Million Dollars, to pay you as transfer into your bank account as beneficiary, we share it 60% for you and 40% for me.

I, Alan, have the following thoughts/comments on this suspected fraudulent email message from “honorea”:
The message above was received via the contact form on a popular local directory – the effort that phishers are going to to get their messages delivered is immense. In spite of installing the strongest spam countermeasures this mail still got through. I am told that there are spam/phishing factories with people actually filling in forms on web sites these days (What a wonderful job description to put on your CV – Manual Spam Creator!). Just like a smash and grab these people do the maximum damage they can in the shortest time and then move on.
