The Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) warns the public against conducting any financial services business with an entity impersonating Atriafinancial SA (Pty) Ltd. The entity, operating under the names Freedom 27, Freedom 27 Trading LLC, and/or Mirabaud Group Ltd, is using Atriafinancial SA (Pty) Ltd’s company details on its website: https://freedom27.com.
Atriafinancial SA (Pty) Ltd is an authorised financial services provider (FSP number 36060) and has no affiliation with Freedom 27, Freedom 27 Trading LLC, or Mirabaud Group Ltd.
These entities falsely reference Atriafinancial SA (Pty) Ltd’s FSP number as their own licence number on their website. They also make reference to Atriafinancial Ltd, the FSP’s sister company, which is duly registered and licensed in the Republic of Vanuatu.
What is Fraud? “Fraud” is any activity that relies on deception in order to achieve a gain. Fraud becomes a crime when it is a “knowing misrepresentation of the truth or concealment of a material fact to induce another to act to his or her detriment” (Black’s Law Dictionary). In other words, if you lie in order to deprive a person or organization of their money or property, you’re committing fraud.
