MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Vice President JD Vance promised a crackdown on fraud nationwide Wednesday during a visit to Milwaukee.
Vice President Vance announced the Labor Department is launching an investigation and issuing subpoenas targeting H1B visas.
H1B visas are employer-sponsored visas that allow companies to employ immigrants who have specialized knowledge or talents.
“Big corporations and fraudsters overseas are using this program to undercut the wages of American workers,” Vance said. “So you know what we’re saying in the Trump Administration? No more.”
Vance said the Trump Administration is also targeting fraud in SNAP, Medicaid and prenatal care.
Vice President Vance said these investigations will increase the amount of funding available for those who actually need these programs.
