Republican U.S. Senate candidate Michele Tafoya makes it clear she will make her campaign against DFL opponent Peggy Flanagan primarily about what she did or didn’t do about fraud in Minnesota.
“We, of course, are going to talk about fraud, fraud and fraud,” Tafoya said in an interview recorded for “At Issue with Tom Hauser.”
Although Lieutenant Governor Flanagan is now running for a federal office, Tafoya says she should still be accountable for what happened on her watch at the state level.
“I know she’s trying to throw it all on Tim Walz because he said the buck stops with me,” Tafoya says. “But she was right there, and quite frankly, while he was off running for vice president, she was in charge of the state. You cannot separate her record from his record, you simply can’t.”
