State Rep. Christopher Flanagan, D-Dennis, is facing additional charges in connection with an indictment issued April 10, 2025. The U.S. Attorney’s office released a superseding indictment May 5 naming Flanagan with three additional counts of wire fraud, one new count of money laundering, and three new counts of filing false tax returns for calendar years 2021, 2022 and 2023.
Flanagan’s attorney, Jess Megee, entered pleas of not guilty to all charges on May 21, according to documents filed in U.S. District Court in Boston. Flanagan was not present, waiving his appearance at arraignment.
Calls to Megee and Flanagan were not immediately returned on Friday.
The charges brought by the U.S. Attorney now — in total — amount to eight counts of wire fraud dating from Nov. 18, 2021, to Dec. 15, 2023, which total $40,542. Those include alleged transfers and deposits to Flanagan’s personal bank…
