The Centre of Elgin will hold Smishing, Phishing, Spoofing and More from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, June 12.

Learn about fraudulent uses of texts, emails and cell phones, including five ways to identify an email as spam and how to handle a “robo-call.” The program also will cover to whom and how to report these frauds. Cherie Aschenbrenner, of the Elgin Police Department, and Lt. Kevin Williams, of the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, will present the program.
