A texting scam across Florida aimed at gaining access to your debit card information.
If you receive a text or email stating:
“there is a problem with your account.”
“we suspect an unauthorized transaction on your account.”
“Our records indicate your account has been overcharged.”
Do not answer. If you do, you’re directed to a website that will collect your personal information and potentially steal your identity or your money. Scam Alert: Texting, e-mail scam aimed at debit cards
