“I just wish Rep. Johnson would stop offending little people and get real answers to questions about Benghazi. I got straight crickets from him and you have probably noticed the issue is out of the news now. The White House and media have tricked the country with the Paula Broadwell/Petreaus rope-a-dope. Mr Johnson, please tell the president your district wants to know the truth. People died, and their families and the country need to know exactly what happened and how it will be prevented in the future. If you agree please contact Johnson and our senators.”

“This was a terrible thing that has happened in Connecticut, not to take away from it; however, as I see all the sadness and mourning I would just say …Where is all the mourning for the million and a half babies murdered in and outside of the womb since 1972, Roe v. Wade? As I looked at President Obama crying yesterday on TV I wish with all my heart that some of his tears would be shed for the unborn.”

“How old do I have to be before I get this “Adult super-vision” everybody insists I need … It sounds incredible!”

“Maybe we should be more aware of our kids and today’s issues. Take time to know your child … what he/she is doing on a daily basis, that he/she is doing good things and not involved in the many bad things that a kid can get pulled into. Maybe we should not allow them to see movies, play games or listen to the music that is so violent. If you think … it’s not real so it can’t influence them … think again. They need family … to know they are loved, cared for and about. To teach them right from wrong and the consequences that come with being wrong. To our legal system, why do we allow kids who are already in trouble back in schools … with their ankle bracelets, etc.? I know you say they deserve an education … but, really? Maybe they do but not in our public schools when they have a violent behavior and not when they are a threat to the teachers and other students. You try the stress of school already and add the added stress of not knowing what these kids may do and are capable of doing. Why can’t those kids be in a facility that teaches them … not only academically but values also. What happened to reformatory schools?”

“We they have done it again. Our budget needs money and yet we have bought two snow plows. Yes two! Next we will need an airplane or limo for our leadership.”

“I am watching with interest a case in Spalding County where an ethics complaint has been issued against a BOC member for vitriolic comments she made on Facebook which were directed at another official. She referred to that person as a ‘biatch’ and a ‘Conservative racist.’ I hope she is censured and fined, which is unfortunately the most they can do — they cannot remove an elected official. As we all know, Rockdale also has a vitriolic Facebook commenter sitting on the BOC: Oz Nesbitt. He has made statements on Facebook and Twitter which are ‘unbecoming’ of any public official. It’s a shame he cannot be fined or removed from office. He is as much an embarrassment to this area as Hank ‘I didn’t know midget was a bad word’ Johnson.”
—-“Obama claims to want a ‘balanced approach’ to the budget, but he continues to call for tax increases now and spending cuts later. Of course, once he gets his tax increases, he’ll forget all about any spending cuts. Look at history. Every time taxes were increased with spending cuts to follow, we never saw any spending cuts. We do not have a tax problem — We have a spending problem!”

“‘We must reject the idea that every time a law’s broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.’ — Ronald Reagan”

“I was shopping tonight at the Toys R Us at Stonecrest Mall and within 30 minutes of swiping my card at the register someone tried to use my credit card number at the Target in Conyers, my card was in my sight and my wallet the entire time. Thankfully my credit card company recognized the fraud and declined the transaction and called my husband before I even got home from the store to alert us about the theft. The speed at which these criminals were able to act blows my mind. I think everyone in our community should be alerted to this activity happening in our own community and to be on the lookout for fraudulent activity. I consider myself alert and aware to things going on around me and I didn’t see one single out of the ordinary activity.”

“Darrell Huckaby’s article ‘We’re losing the good fight in America’ in Wednesday’s paper should be required reading for every person in America. Its lessons should be incorporated into core subject requirement in every school, beginning in middle school. He has nailed the reasons for our moral and ethical demise as a country. After three generations of deterioration, however, these ’causes’ haveestablished a ‘new norm’ from which we may not be able to recover. Each of his points has been supported by governing bodies and hailed as ‘enlightened’ thinking. Protected by the Supreme Court’s interpretation of Free Speech, the entertainment media makes obscene amounts of moneycreating the filth to which we and our children are daily exposed. Single mothers, with government support, rear their children to the same fate. Television advertisement teaches us to ‘talk to our doctor’ about every drug on the market, then, if it doesn’t work, get a law firm to sue the drug maker for ‘compensation to which you may be entitled’. Schools and parents have lost control of student discipline because ‘enlightened’ thinkers decided corporal punishment damaged children. Darrell is right. We are losing the good fight.”

“Mr. President, you give up your armed guards and I will give up my guns. You have security everywhere you go, people who never sleep to keep you, your wife and daughters safe. As your fellow American, I deserve the same. There cannot be two standards.”
