One Pune guy named Sahil is found to be running monetary scam through a Facebook phishing page. Sahil, aged 22+ old hailing from Pune, Maharastra has been found evident as the Facebook scammer in a recent investigation done by Times of Assam.
In his phishing attack attempting login email password theft, Sahil is using a phishing page i.e. http://collegepics.x10.bz. He requests Facebook users to click on the link of that phishing page. Users who aren’t much aware about Facebook scams click on the link and it opens a fake Facebook login page. When the user enters his login details, it creates a dummy pop-up resulting in the login email and password forwarded to the email id 00carter007@gmail.com. By this way Sahil use to get the victim’s Facebook login email and passwords. Using the login id and password of the victims, Sahil accesses their Facebook profile and requests the listed friends to recharge his mobile. It is also found during the investigation that Sahil has theft Facebook login id and passwords of more than 500 victims by this way and most of them are girls. Times of Assam have been able to trace some numbers that Sahil got recharged by this way and such are +917304880555, +918657708042, +919579405345 and so on. It is also found evident that Sahil himself is the owner of the mobile numbers +917304880555, +918657708042, +919579405345. Times of Assam have been also able to retain Sahil’s personal mobile no(+919595893498) who demands recharge by using Facebook phishing page. When someone contacts Sahil at his mobile number, Sahil use to threaten by various ways.
It is found evident that Sahil is the owner of Facebook phishing page http://collegepics.x10.bz and the email id 00carter007@gmail.com. Most of the victims of Sahil’s monetary scam are from Bangalore, and some of them have already lodged police complain against Sahil, but police is yet to take action against Sahil.
