BERN, SWITZERLAND – Clients of Postfinance are being alerted they are the target of phishing attacks, reports ats news agency. Fraudsters try to obtain confidential information by inviting account holders to download a programme that will make their online transactions safer.
The agency says Postfinance has confirmed that a message it has is false; some of the signs: it is signed Postfinance Online, a unit that does not exist, and the message had typos and spelling mistakes, common in phishing attempts.
