The holiday shopping season kicks off this week. Police say they see a lot more crimes of opportunity, like thefts, burglaries, and fraud.
Here’s some tips, to avoid becoming a victim.
Police say just use common sense.
Don’t carry large amounts of cash, or leave presents in plain view in your car.
Park in lighted areas.
Be alert when walking to your car, have your keys ready.
Keep your car doors and home, locked.
And, if you’re shopping online, make sure you’re shopping on a secure site.
