An email such as the one below which states your mailbox has exceeded its limit has been received by a large number of individuals at IU South Bend. The email is a phishing scheme which attempts to lure the email recipient in to visiting a web site which will attempt to compromise their computer. Additionally, the sender’s email address has been spoofed and may appear to come from an IU South Bend email account.

Dear Account Owner,
Your mailbox have exceed 3.5 MB set by the administrator, you will not be able to send or receive mail except you re-validates your account by clicking on the below link
http://soorvey.com/?(redacted)
and complete the required details and click on submit button.

As always, when receiving fishy emails it is best not to click on the link contained in the email. Instead, simply delete the email.
