(BankPacific) — BankPacific recently received a report of fraudulent e-mail that falsely appears to be sent by BankPacific.
The subject line of the e-mail states: “Upgrade Your Account.”
The e-mail informs the recipient that “Your online banking access has been out of our SSL Data. To upgrade your access log on below.”
The e-mail then includes a false link for the recipient to log on to their account.
Please note that this e-mail message is fraudulent and you should not respond!
BankPacific will never request from its customers or others bank account information or sensitive personal information via telephone or unsecured e-mail.
BankPacific encourages all customers to be wary of suspicious telephone calls and e-mail messages. You should never provide your account or personal information to anyone over the phone or through non-secured e-mail.
