A New York appellate court in Albany on Thursday disbarred an immigration lawyer convicted in a years-long scheme involving fraudulent EB-5 visa applications for more than 100 foreign investors, even as they turned aside the Attorney Grievance Committee’s argument that her convictions required automatic disbarment.
