Email Fraud Alert received from: Llwelyn
I recently received an email with this subject line: MISC Payment and I am concerned that it could be an attempt at defrauding me. Let me know in the comments section what you think, please.
The full contents of the suspected fraudulent (phishing / scamming) e-mail appear below:
This is a scam. I was scammed out of thousands. Communication in my case was between starcruisesline@consultant.com and EU Maritime Safety Agency
> We want to make sure you meet up the job appointment date; the immigration
experts assured company management today that it will take only 5 working days
to complete and release your Maritime Crew Visa for collection. As soon as they
release the visa for collection; the company reservation manager also stated
that your flight ticket and accommodation will be booked the same day your visa
is being released for collection.

> We don’t want this to delay your job starting date; forward a copy of the
Maritime Identification and security Card to us immediately your received it so
we can record it in your working file.

We received your [MISC] application letter. A recommendation letter
was sent to us from AU Immigration Experts regarding the Maritime
Identification and Security Card on your name that will enable the AU Visa
Department complete the registration of your AU Tour Working Permit.
The MISC will be endorsed on your name as soon as we received the
requirements from you.
This is the [MISC] Requirements
1, Complete job employment contract signed with your employer in
Australia
2, Updated curriculum vitae and address
3, Scan copy of ID Documents or Passport
4, Maritime Identification and Security Card [MISC] Charges
375-USD per applicant
Method of payment: You have to send the Certificate charges
375-usd via Money Gram or Western Union transfer agent:

I, Llwelyn, have the following thoughts/comments on this suspected fraudulent email message from “Jane”:
PLEASE AVOID THIS SCAM I LOST MY FUNDS PEOPLE PLEASE!
I also heard elsewhere that this is a front for human trafficking. Luckily I only lost out on the money and not my life!
