Email Fraud Alert received from: Karina
I recently received an email with this subject line: Mercedes Benz E class 2012 and I am concerned that it could be an attempt at defrauding me. Let me know in the comments section what you think, please.

Sorry for the delayed response but we are in United Kingdom right now and we have been very busy with our work. We shoot a documentary in South Africa for National Geographic and in two weeks the documentary will be ready. Here is a little part:
The rest will be on TV in two weeks. Anyway, thank you for your interest in buying the car. The car is registered in South Africa on Alicia’s name. We are selling the car very cheap because of the Coronavirus situation (COVID-19). Also we moved in UK with our work and we cannot use it anymore, have a contract here and we will return in SA only after 2 years. The car is like new, in perfect conditions, accident free, no scratches, no special marks, no need for additional repairs, always garaged. You can see from the pictures. If you decide to buy the car we will bring it at your home anywhere in SA. We will wait for your reply if you are interested and have the funds ready.

I, Karina, have the following thoughts/comments on this suspected fraudulent email message from “David and Alicia Martens”:
We had numerous chatts on whatsapp.
They wanted us to send money via Moneygram from South Africa to UK into our brother’s account in Cambridge.
But we got suspicious when we asked a friend to check the numberplate
Its not a 2012 merc. But 1998.merc and belonged to a mr Els from Blouberstrand.
