I, Sanele, have the following thoughts/comments on this suspected fraudulent email message from “Olga Ivanova “:
I receive this mail on a regular basis and normally just delete, but, upon closer inspection a couple of alarm bells ring:
- The sender name and e-mail do not match.
- They write out free and shopping as f-r-e-e and s-h-o-p-p-i-n-g which is obviously an attempt to avoid spam filters.
- The liberal use of exclamation marks – what professional training company does that?
- There is no company physical address stated on the email or the attached ‘booking form’.
- A search for the company registration number on Services Seta reveals a PROVISIONAL ACCREDITATION – http://www.serviceseta.org.za:8080/ETQA/ETQA_Search/A_ProviderDetails.aspx?Prov_ID=2007/083163/23 in the Time Management discipline.
- Even if the programme is legit it is still way too expensive and obviously targeted at people who; do not spend their own money and are greedy and devious enough to want a f-r-e-e tablet.
Maybe these people AND the greedy ones who fall for this scam, should choose a tablet from the ones below:
