The Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) warns the public to exercise caution when conducting financial services business with individuals purporting to be associated with First Equity Insurance Group, a brand grouping for the following Financial Services Providers (FSPs): African Risk Transfer (Pty) Ltd (FSP No. 9378); Everything Insure Digital Intermediaries (Pty) Ltd (FSP No. 21271); SATIB Insurance Brokers (Pty) Ltd (FSP No. 16388); and First Equity Professional Liability (Pty) Ltd (FSP No. 48354) (collectively referred to as First Equity Insurance Group) and Mr Kevin Watson (Mr Watson) who is a director within First Equity Insurance Group.
It has come to the FSCA’s attention that individuals are using the name of Mr Watson and claiming an association with First Equity Insurance Group to solicit funds from members of the public. First Equity Insurance Group confirmed that it and Mr Watson are not associated with these individuals using its persona. The individuals failed to respond to FSCA enquiries.
