The Heath Police Department has issued a warning about a possible scam in the area.
According to police, a male suspect is targeting victims by claiming to be a bank investigator or law enforcement officer, investigating fraud.
He reportedly asks victims to withdraw cash from their accounts, and then asks for the money, promising it will be returned to their accounts.
There has been at least one case where the suspect has gotten away with money. He is described as a white male in his 60’s or 70’s, approximately 6 feet tall and 165 pounds.
If you are contacted by this man or can help with the investigation, contact the Heath Police Department at 740-522-2141.
