From An Edited Press Release
Officials at Great Southern Bank have been made aware of fraudulent phone calls and text messages circulating. These calls and messages appear to be from Great Southern Bank stating that your Great Southern Bank MasterCard is locked.
The text message includes a number to call and when you call you are prompted to enter your 16-digit card number. These calls and messages are phishing attempts and are not being originated by Great Southern Bank and we would never contact our customers in this way.
They appear to be going to Great Southern customers and non-customers alike, though they appear to be from Great Southern. Should you receive this call, please hang up immediately.
Please ignore any text messages such as this as well. If you inadvertently provide any personal information, please contact us immediately at 800-749-7113.
