Email Fraud Alert received from: Maria
I recently received an email with this subject line: FW: Transfer of Portion 7 of Erf 44 Ruimsig Ext – ROSSOUW/HATTINGH and I am concerned that it could be an attempt at defrauding me. Let me know in the comments section what you think, please.

Please note that I have contacted Thea and confirmed that this is not related to any attorney firm on FNB Home Loan Panel of attorneys. In fact it appears that this is not a bond cancellation or registration matter.
This seems to be a cancellation of a cession lodged against your account from commercial perspective.
The attorney mentioned is not on the panel, please refer to the relevant department and make sure you update your account status as of today.

3 things are disturbing about this e-mail – the Good Morning Salutation, the email address and the attachment which was an HTML page and not a PDF or Word Document. Leaving me to believe that this is a scam or phishing attempt.
