A former head of the State Police union has been sentenced to two years in prison for accepting kickbacks from a lobbyist and for using a union credit card for personal expenses including trips and meals with his girlfriend.
Dana Pullman’s sentence, issued on Feb. 18 in U.S. District Court in Boston, came after the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals vacated some of his earlier convictions.
The longtime trooper was convicted by a federal jury in November 2022 after prosecutors detailed his behind-the-scenes deals with Anne Lynch, the lobbyist who worked with the union. Both were indicted in 2019.
Pullman, 64, a longtime trooper, was president of the State Police Association of Massachusetts from 2012 until his resignation in 2018.
