PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (CBS12) — A former Nordstrom employee is behind bars after investigators said she made eight fraudulent returns and deposited the proceeds into her bank account.
A criminal complaint from the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department accuses Chelsea Schulz of stealing $4,469.70. The investigation dates to Nov. 12, 2023, when officers responded to Nordstrom, located on PGA Boulevard in Palm Beach Gardens.
Investigators met with the store manager, who alleged Schulz accessed the system and looked up completed returns with items that had not been returned. The manager said Schulz selected items that were not confirmed as returned and issued refunds to her personal account.
