Mozilla has released an updated Firefox Beta for Android to add phishing protection, integration with the Google Now search widget and a better update experience with improvements in “updater” code.
For users’ protection from malware-laden websites, the new Firefox Beta for Android notifies users when they run into websites used by cybercriminals for malware or phishing. It shows a warning page and allows users to leave the operation before loading a potentially malicious website.
Firefox Beta for Android now hints search terms while typing through Google Now for a quick and easy mobile web navigation. Starting Firefox will open a box asking to opt-in on search suggestions in what the team calls Awesome Bar.
Apart from the additions, Mozilla modified support for loading new fonts delivered with Firefox Beta for Android.
Developers can take advantage of CSS3 Flexbox implementation, support for the new DOM property window.devicePixelRatio and support for @supports.
As with any update, Mozilla fixed several bugs in the app such as disabling insecure content loading on HTTPS pages and TalkBack announcing that a page finished loading only after one touches the display on Android 4.2 devices.

Known Unresolved Issues
- Some recent changes in the Google layout and CSS may cause issues in non-WebKit browsers like Firefox
- Firefox for Android uses the same locale as system language settings
- Font inflation my sometimes render inconsistent font sizes on certain pages
- Changing the device orientation may sometimes yield unexpected behavior
- Firefox Sync will not behave as expected if multiple Firefox channels are installed on a single device
