COLUMBIA ( Source: Florence Morning News, S.C. (MCT) — The Department of Consumer Affairs (SCDCA) and the Florence County Library are offering consumers free email fraud alerts. Consumers can receive tips on the latest scams by sending an email saying “sign me up” to florencefraudalerts@gmail.com.
These alerts are a great line of defense against lottery, debt collection, and grant scams, amongst others. The best way to avoid fraud and protect your wallet is to get educated.
