EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – A federal inquiry into potential voter fraud across nine states, including Wisconsin, is drawing pushback from state and local election officials who call the move unnecessary and politically motivated ahead of the upcoming midterm elections.
The Wisconsin Elections Commission received notice in early September informing the agency of the investigation, which is being coordinated through federal authorities, including the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Justice.
